My Lexus dissapointment!!
I bought a 2000 G S 300 from J M Lexus of Coconut Creek Florida in 2001.The engine has performed very well, but the body seems to have been built to fall apart . I know its 9 years old , but many cars that are well built last for many more years.
my chief complaint is related to something called a roof drip moulding .They go from the front to the back of the car & are just peices of plastic glued on!!!
who knew!! They cost 300$ each= 600$ I tkink these things should never comm loose // FACTORY DEFECT .
Even the body shop @ JM has never heard of this happening , but they insist they cannot replace them!!I would like to get in touch with the head of Lexus manufacturing !
any ideas anyone I really need to be able to use this car for a few more years without having to tape it up myself!!A word to other would be Lexus buyers , IT NOT AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS!!I wish I had known. SO LET THE BUYER BEWARE!!!
Location: Palm Beach, Florida

I just got off the phone with Lexus Corporate customer care. It took 24 hrs to return my call.
They will goodwill the repair. They told me that a CPO car is covered by the extended warrenty and not the original 4year 50,000 warrenty.
I had no idea there was a difference. This car was out of warrenty as the date it was first put into service is more than 4 years.
I am satisfied with Lexus now, but if I was aware of what the CPO covered I would have bought a new car.
Can you please give me the number for Lexus Corporate? I been trying to get a number but it all a dead end. I am having an issue with Rockville Lexus and cant seem to get a truthful answer.
Same issue with molding comming loose on Lexus 2010 IS 250 on a CPO car with 50,000 miles after I had it for one year. This car is in Fairfield county CT.
So far the same unacceptable response from Lexus.
This car is still under CPO warrenty. I cannot believe they do not want to cover it.
Statistically speaking - Lexus's are the best.. I've owned 4 in a row and have never done anything but normal maintenance.... Obviously on older vehicles anything might happen - especially down in the heat of Florida.
